Configure Options in the Silent Hill Games

How do I enable or disable Subtitles in those games?

1. To enable the subtitles in the second, third and fourth games start the game.
2. Wait for the menu to appear.
3. Go to Options
4. Look through the options until you see the screen pictured:

1. Click on the indicator until you are happy will the option.
2. Click Exit.
3. Press Yes to save the settings!

How do I change languages in those games?

1. To change the language you play the game in SH1 - SH4, start the game.
2. Wait for the menu to appear.
3. Go to Options
4. Look through the options until you see the screen pictured:

1. Click on the arrows or the language (example: English) until you are happy will the option.
2. Click Exit.
3. Press Yes to save the settings! Note: The games with the * next to them are available in more then one language.

How do I change the controls in the Silent Hill games?

SH1

Change controls via emulator

For the NTSC (knife carrying monsters version) pc conversion of SH1 you must run the game through the emulator to change the game controls. In the PAL version there is an option which allows you to change the controls through the front-end program (note: this NOT the actual game).

1. Start the emulator.
2. Go to Config (menu).
3. Go down to Game Pad.
4. Select the Game Pad you want to use.
5. Click on the label corresponding to the control you want to change.
6. Press the key you want to use to preform that action (repeat how ever many times you need)
7. Click OK.
8. Exit the emulator and start the game.

1. Start the game.
2. Go to Options.
3. Go to Control Options.
4. Select the control you want to change then press the key you want to use to activate that motion.
5. Click Apply.

2. Go to Options.
3. Go to Button Config.
4. Select the control you want to change then press the key you want to use to activate that motion.
5. Click Exit.

How do I install the Silent Hill games on pc?

Silent Hill 1
Note: The PC version is the PSX version, the people who modified the game did not modify the game files only the files that tell the game how to boot up. The only thing different about the pc conversion is that you play it on pc. The front-end isn't for the actual game but the emulator. The emulator is still required to play the game.
Download the game you want: NTSC version or PAL version!
Extract the files to a folder you create called Silent Hill!
Search for and run the Autorun program!
Create a folder called Bios inside the folder you just created called Silent Hill! Move the file called SCPH1001.BIN inside the folder you just created called Bios!
